Responsibilities: -Responds to service calls and in-house repairs throughout the facility. -Troubleshoots, responds to work orders, repairs systems and equipment. -Installs office fixtures and performs work in various maintenance trades including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. -Routine assignments include moving furniture, materials, and equipment. -Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance and breaks down equipment for cleanup. -Tests faulty equipment and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronic units and systems to diagnose cause of malfunction. -Replaces defective components and wiring and adjusts mechanical parts. -Calibrates testing instruments. -Maintain records of repairs, calibrations, and tests. -Enters information into computer to copy program from one electronic component to another, or to draw, modify or to store schematics. -Oversees emergency system backup. -Ensures plumbing, water, electrical systems are functional |
Desired Background/Skills: -Demonstrates technical skills. -Requires competency related to function and/or process knowledge and participates in process. -Office Skills: Data entry, software; -Warehouse Skills: forklift, pallet jack. -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, reports and procedure manuals. -Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to vendors, supervisors, and other employees. -Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. -Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret charts. -6-12 months in the maintenance trades, a working knowledge of shop math, the ability to utilize tools and measuring instruments. -Listening skills, Strategic Thinking, Team player, Excellent written and verbal communication, Being goal oriented. |
