We seek an experienced Fire Alarm technician with NICET certification, adept at handling security cameras, alarms, and access control systems. Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field to effectively serve our diverse clientele, including private schools, churches, and nonprofit organizations.
Compensation:
$33 per hour
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position: 40 hours per week with limited overtime.
- Regular hours are typically from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility based on customer needs.
- Occasionally, there may be a requirement for emergency calls.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive Fire Alarm inspections, encompassing testing, repairs, and completion of IROL paperwork. Proficiency with Honeywell, Silent Knight, Notifier, and Simplex equipment is essential.
- Capable of repairing, replacing, and programming Fire Alarm panels and system devices.
- Willingness to provide training to colleagues and supervise Fire Alarm and Low-voltage vendors.
- Substantial experience working with security systems, security cameras, and access control systems is required.
- Demonstrate a passion for working with low-voltage equipment and a commitment to ongoing learning.
- Proficiency with normal medium-voltage equipment is advantageous.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the commercial Fire Alarm field is mandatory.
- Current NICET Fire Alarm System Level II Certification or higher is necessary.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and insurability to drive a company vehicle is required.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends when occasionally necessary, with minimal overtime.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check required for employment in educational facilities with children present.
Physical:
- This position involves approximately 25% outdoor and 75% indoor work, often requiring extended periods of standing.
- Ability to work on lifts, scaffolding, ladders, as well as in crawl spaces and other confined areas.
- Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted.
- Job tasks may involve climbing, bending, reaching, standing, walking, and working in noisy environments.
- Ability to work in smoke-free environments
