The American Red Cross Chapter is currently hiring for a Fleet and Facilities Lead Specialist for the St. Louis Chapter. The schedule shift is Mon-Fri 6:30am to 2:30pm and/or 7am to 3pm, Weekends and Holidays off; Valid Driver License is required; Starting Salary is $54,080.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):
- Under close supervision, perform repairs and maintenance in office facilities, or on machines and equipment.
- Typically perform basic work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair.
- Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
- Use hand and power tools to test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment.
- Manage vendors for certain projects.
- Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.
WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
- Maintain and repair organization's facilities and fleet involving routine tasks and responsibilities
- Paint structures and equipment as needed
- Install and correct minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural problems
- Document installation and repairs as required by regulatory agencies
- Repair appliances and equipment
- May move and store furniture and equipment
- Estimate time and material costs of various projects, requisition new supplies and equipment
- Manage vendors
- May perform basic landscaping and snow/ice removal. May keep drainage ditches and culverts free of obstructions.
- May drive vehicle to other locations.
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Enforce organization safety policies, regulations and procedures related to fleet and facilities management to ensure they are followed at all times
- Responsible to be up-to-date on all relevant role specific training, in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Carries out any additional assignments required to fulfill the Mission of the American Red Cross
