The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building and cleaner aircraft maintenance tasks but is not limited to building maintenance tasks in one or more fields; performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned. This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position, reporting to the Facilities Manager. Depending on the assignment, includes any or all of the following; performing aircraft interior cleaning, including equipping the aircraft cabin for flight according to specifications, with equipment and cabin services supplies; cleaning the interior of aircraft by hand or powered equipment using cleaners; completion of the aircraft cleaning bill of work as required; stocking and cleaning of vehicles used in the cleaning functions; stocking and cleaning of the cabin services make-up rooms area; stocking and maintaining cabin services kits; disposing of trash, rubbish, and waste that is incidental and related to the applicable job functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Paint, remodel, refurbish areas as needed.
- Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities.
- Clean windows and glass doors
- Change of all filters for HVAC as required.
- Prepare conference room for incoming meetings; remove or rearrange furniture for events or meetings, as needed.
- Remove and properly dispose of all recyclable materials.
- Change light bulbs, interior, and exterior, as needed.
- Oversee service that provides trash removal and cleaning of offices at end of the day.
- Maintain exterior property.
- Assist with all events installs/removals.
- Oversee daily trash removal, restocking/cleaning restrooms, sweeping/mopping/vacuuming, cleaning/disinfecting tables and counters, cleaning exterior entryway/cigarette receptacles, graffiti removal, cleaning/polishing/floor maintenance for elevators, cleaning/disinfecting community surfaces (handrails, water fountains, vending machines, etc.)
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
- Equip airplane cabin, by reading checklist specifications, with equipment and supplies such as rugs, linens, blankets, etc., as well as carrying supplies weighing up to 50lbs. on board aircraft.
- Recognize work scope instructions on cleaning statement of work.
- Be cognizant of part segregation on racks for various cleaning instructions i.e. solvent only, scrap parts do not clean, clean but do not strip paint or coatings etc.
- Perform cleaning processes as required IAW published work scopes, applicable technical instruction, and approved data.
- Ensuring proper preservation, protection and storage of parts including no metal-to-metal contact.
- Lifts refuse containers weighing up to 50lbs; reach, bend, and twist in confined space to hand clean, using cleaning fluid and materials, the interior or aircraft including meals trays, ash trays, lavatories, overhead storage bins and buffets.
- Cognitive skills to check condition, clean, sort, count, salvage and/or store equipment, and assemble kits.
- Operate vacuum cleaner and similar mechanized cleaning aids.
- Cognitive skills to check deliveries of supplies against requisitions to determine discrepancies.
- Ability to judge distances.
- Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools to repair ground support vehicles and equipment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates qualities of the initiative.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday, Sunday), holidays, and days off.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous related experience preferred.
- Computer familiarity is necessary.
- On-the-job training provided.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- May be necessary to speak other languages (s), in addition to English, depending on the customer contract.
- Must be able to maintain airport authority access and be able to work scheduled shifts.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods working on vehicles, aircraft parts, and equipment.
- Must be physically able to access vehicles and equipment either by kneeling or lying on the back.
- Must be able to lift 50 to 70 pounds (31.9kg).
