Job Description Summary
This position will perform routine daily operations tasks including, but not limited to, maintaining physical space in a large corporate environment for a global professional services firm client located at their headquarters in midtown Manhattan, NY.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support building services activities during the move process in a way that results in a positive experience for the customers being moved and those around them. This includes installing sit/stand desks, whiteboards, monitor arms, keyboard trays, etc. Maintain a safe environment for employees during moves. Work closely with the Facilities Supervisor.
- Perform other facility service related activities such as conference room setups, adding/removing tables and chairs, and other equipment as needed.
- Regularly communicate with the Facilities Supervisor and the Facilities Service Help Desk function to execute "requests for services" and to close them out in a reasonable time period.
- Requests for services include but are not limited to the following: Furniture maintenance and repair, door closer repair and installation, cabinet relocation and installation, restroom soap and towel dispenser installation, light bulb replacement and troubleshooting, ceiling tile replacement, minor floor and carpet repairs, hang pictures, maintain key inventory and make keys.
- Provide services including proactive maintenance, moves/changes and reporting of any issues with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, reactive maintenance to the appropriate repair teams.
- Conduct morning walkthrough of executive floor to ensure operational readiness.
- Respond to water leak emergencies to assess, report, clean up and perform remediation and prep for restoration.
- Communicate with customers to ensure that they are satisfied with the service.
- Escalate any problems or issues that cannot be addressed to the Facilities Supervisor.
- Perform routine walkthroughs of the facility to assess general conditions.
- Support health and safety initiatives.
- Support business continuity and contingency planning.
- Other tasks, as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance or building services role. Ability to deliver high quality services and follow operational and cost saving improvements and processes.
- Good knowledge of building maintenance in two or more specific areas such as: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry or cleaning. Adept at working with the tools and materials required in these areas.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of customer service delivery.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, painting, climbing a ladder, working with tools, as needed.
- Must be available to work overtime when requested.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates organization skills with the ability to successfully handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Team-oriented with the ability to build effective relationships in a professional business environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- May be on call, as necessary.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $26.00 - $26.00
