Gallo in Canandaigua is hiring! Seeking a Facilities Maintenance Tech to join our team and help Serve Joy in moment that matter.
Job Overview:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00a - 3:30p
- As a Maintenance Tech 1, you will be responsible for the facility maintenance. This may include, but not limited to, painting, PBC pipe fixing (plumbing), HVAC and boiler inspections, assembly of furniture. You will be a part of a team that works hard and has fun doing it!
Job Responsibilities:
- Works on assigned projects; responds to emergency maintenance calls.
- Disassembles malfunctioning equipment; examines and tests mechanisms on large and small pieces of machinery.
- Tests equipment and adjusts calibration to ensure equipment is functioning within specified standards.
- Interprets technical documents (prints, manuals) as required.
- Maintains constructive cross-functional relationships.
- Searches for and executes against continuous improvement opportunities.
- Performs work in a quality fashion.
- Performs basic plumbing and piping operations.
- Operates machining tools and drill presses; performs basic welding operations.
- Services pumps and drive system components.
What You Will Need:
High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of mechanical or automotive maintenance experience working on equipment or industrial motors and pumps reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Associates degree or 2-year Technical Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Maintenance and Repair plus 1 year of mechanical or automotive maintenance experience working on equipment or industrial motors and pumps reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Experience working in a manufacturing, production, industrial mechanical or automotive environment.
Required to work assigned shift (day, swing, and graveyard) and weekends and overtime as needed.
Required to conduct work at heights.
Required to lift and carry equipment that weighs up-to 50 pounds.
Required to work in a tight and confined space.
Required to provide own basic hand tools.
Skilled in calculating figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Compensation:
- Hiring Salary Range Posted: $27.77 - $37.45 /Per Hour
- Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
