Job Summary
Embark on a hospitality adventure as our Facilities Lounge Manager for the new premium lounge at JFK. In this role, you'll craft exceptional dining experiences and lead operations from the ground up. As the Facilities Manager for our Airport Lounge business, you are entrusted with the vital task of assisting in the overall management and operation of our facility. Your role is crucial in ensuring the delivery of top-quality services to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management duties including the hiring process of the team, professional development within the team, communication with staff members, performance reviews, and personal responsibility for the Facility team
- Office Services including organizing and managing daily activities and events, project and move management, development of office standards and policies and procedures, management of vendor contracts, new hire orientation assistance, communication of events or service announcements, monthly newsletter, and maintenance of intranet pages
- Vendor management including vendor relations, coordination with outside vendors, performance and quality level monitoring, and researching new vendors
- Safety and Security including ensuring safety and security for the facility, emergency response plans, compliance with all local regulatory requirements, function as the after-hours contact for property management, and training of office emergency procedures
- Purchasing and Reporting including managing and tracking all financial reports, attendance, payroll, maintain inventory, service reports and accomplishments
Qualifications:
A High School diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of management experience, with progressively increasing responsibilities in facilities services or a related service field, is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Strong customer service skills, including effective verbal and written communication.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in identifying talent that complements and enhances the client's environment.
- Previous experience working with external vendors, accounts payable/receivable, and budget management is advantageous.
- Proficient in using the Internet and Microsoft Office programs, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
