Position Summary
The Facilities Engineer is responsible for implementing processes and improvements in operations and construction of Salt Water Disposal facilities and pipelines. This position is located in Houston, Texas, and reports to the SVP of Engineering & Planning.

Essential Job Requirements
- Hydraulically optimize pipeline system with the aid of a dynamic hydraulic model.
- Make recommendations on ways to minimize royalty expenses, reduce power consumption and lower operating costs.
- Organize customer forecast to optimize revenue streams and maximum capacities.
- Analyzes hydraulic models to predict operational pinch points.
- Develop specifications and prepare detailed estimates of design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
- Form criteria and performance specifications for facilities and equipment necessary to meet unique operating requirements and safety codes.
- Plan, design, and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of facilities and new wells.
- Accountable for surface facility project execution from detailed design to completion
- Ensure the safe and timely delivery of projects within the agreed budget, quality, and schedule.
- Determine ways that processes can be refined to help facilities run more efficiently.
- Determine particular needs for current infrastructure and upcoming projects and develop management control systems that will reduce costs.
- Prepare engineering specifications, statements of work, and estimates for a wide range of facility related projects.
- Create procedures and cost estimates for downhole remediation work, pipeline, and facility projects.
- Performs all related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering- Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum, or Chemical.
- 4+ years of oil and gas, water management, or midstream industry experience.
- Proficiency with PIPESIM, PipePhase, AFT Fathom, or similar hydraulic modeling software.
- Strong budget management skills.
- Ability to work with others on a team to accomplish established goals.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, maintain detailed and accurate records, and prepare clear and concise written reports.
- Ability to apply engineering principles and techniques to the solution of equipment, maintenance processes and procedures, and infrastructure.
- Vendor management experience.
- Able to travel as needed; travel limited.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Texas and New Mexico oil and gas regulations and both state and federal permitting.
Physical Requirements
- Standard office environment with occasional time in the field.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be deemed insurable by the Company’s insurance provider.
