Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of facility operations, including building maintenance, repairs, and renovations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance staff, vendors, and contractors to execute necessary repairs, installations, and upgrades promptly and efficiently.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the proper functioning of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and areas for improvement, addressing issues promptly.
- Manage facility budgets, forecast expenses, and negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with various departments to support office space planning, renovations, and reconfigurations to optimize workspace utilization.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and maintain necessary records and documentation.
- Act as the primary point of contact for building-related emergencies and implement contingency plans as needed.
- Oversee the facility’s security protocols, including access control systems and emergency response procedures.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment by addressing employee concerns related to facilities and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming workspace.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; relevant certifications or equivalent work experience considered.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in facilities management, preferably in a corporate or commercial setting.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to facility management.
- Proficient in using facility management software, MS Office Suite, and related tools.
