Facilities Custodian

General Description of Position:The Maintenance Custodian is a part-time position that provides light maintenance and custodian services for the Terre Haute campus.Major Responsibilities:

Perform routine cleaning tasks such as but not limited to:

Cleaning and Sanitization of high-touch areas.

Spot Monitoring and Light cleaning of restrooms.

Cleans door window glass and frequently touched vertical surfaces daily.

Event support as required, including setups and teardowns

Cleaning of common area tables, chairs, and countertops as needed.

Sweeping, mopping and spot-cleaning spills and stains.

Collecting and emptying trash and recycling containers.

Maintain inventory and ordering of custodial consumables.

Travel between main and south campuses daily (3 miles)

Provides general service in response to select work requests.

General work on the computer including reading and filing work orders, and notifying the facilities department of maintenance needs

Occasional overtime may be required

Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required; Previous custodial experience required; Ability to operate custodial equipment (spot scrubbers/vacuums); Demonstrate proper use of cleaning chemicals; Good communication and interpersonal skills; Computer and software knowledgePreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of or experience in custodial work preferred. Possess a valid Indiana Driver's License.Other Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
