Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support EHS Manager in all building and ground upkeep and maintenance.
- Perform hands-on maintenance of production equipment, and immediate attention when production is down
- Perform various safety & maintenance audits (fork trucks, fire extinguishers, generator etc.)
- Maintain Preventative Maintenance program
- Attend to general building and maintenance upkeep and repairs
- 24/7 emergency on call support
- Keep an inventory of and order janitorial supplies as needed
- Manage the collection of Hazardous and Universal wastes and work with the EHS manager to ensure proper disposal
- General support of the EHS Manager
- Other duties as assigned
- Support self-development and the development of other newer employees to attain optimal quality performance and to enhance individual and the group’s skill base.
- Demonstrate through actions that responsibility for developing talent and sharing knowledge is a very integral aspect of overall performance elevation and development of self and others.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Highschool diploma or GED required, associate degree in a technical field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of building AC electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, Safety and Manufacturing Process Equipment.
- Certifications in Industrial electrical maintenance, HVAC maintenance, plumbing, general construction, and OSHA 10 or 30 preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Building Maintenance - Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the upkeep and/or repair of office and manufacturing, buildings
- English Language - Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work closely and professionally with all levels of management and across all functional lines, without direct supervision.
- Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Experienced in best practices for preventative maintenance on production and building equipment.
- Computer Skills - to include use of word, excel, and maintenance PM programs.
- Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
- Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
- Information Ordering - The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
- Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- Lifting ability – Must be able to lift 35lbs unassisted
