Position: Fabricator / Welder
Summary: Accurately measuring, cutting, welding, shearing, grinding steel and aluminum. Attaching building materials using screws, nuts, and bolts.
Responsibilities:
- Installing metal structures such as roofing frames, partitions, joists and metal stud work.
- Reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations.
- Inspect framework for any defects and make corrections.
- Works in a safe manner and follows all safety policies while performing job duties.
- Maintains work area (kept clean and organized).
- Follows work orders and instructions on correct assembly of building components.
- Maintains open communication with supervisor regarding safety concerns.
- Performs various other job duties as assigned and needed.
Qualifications:
- Highschool or equivalent.
- Eligible to work in the US.
- (3) years experience in steel/aluminum welding and fabrication.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must know how to read a tape measure.
- Must know how to use power tools (Drill, impact grinder, band/chop saws, etc..).
- Must be able to work shear and press brake.
- Must be honest, have a great work ethic, and play well with others.
- Must be able to crouch, bend, and work overhead for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to perform 3G at a minimum.
