Fabricator

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a full-time Fabricator in Reamstown, PA. The Fabricator operates a milling machine, various small hand tools, metal cutting equipment, and small presses to assist in the production operations, assembling components from cut and prepared materials.

This position is available on First Shift (6AM – 2:30PM) with a pay range of $19/hr to $24/hr. (Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Mandatory overtime as needed.

$2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Use tape measure and calipers to ensure quality specifications are met
• Inspect unassembled materials to ensure proper finish, length, and shape as defined on drawings and order documentation
• Assemble finished product by positioning of parts per requirements of the unit being assembled or by following shop drawings and quality control requirements
• Remove small quantities of metal with hand tools to produce a close fit between parts
• Perform minor tool changes and minor machine set-ups to cut, saw, drill and mill components
• Use hand tools (manual and powered) to drill and tap components for assembly
• Operate material handling equipment
• Perform machine preventative maintenance
• Complete daily report sheet

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to read a tape measure within 1/32nd of an inch
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Demonstrated mechanical abilities
