Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shop Foreman to join our team. As the Shop Foreman, you will be responsible for pipefitting fabrication installation activities with an emphasis on labor productivity, quality, timely installations, and teamwork. This requires close coordination with the Fabrication Supervisor. Shop Foreman is also responsible for floor safety along with excellent leadership skills.
Qualifications:
o High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Supervisory experience preferred. Field experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
o Ability to read and interpret documents.
o Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
o Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
o Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exits.
o Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
o Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability a statistical inference, and fundamental of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
o Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Essential Functions: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
o Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to fabrication schedules.
o Conduct fabrication activities within federal, state, and local environmental rules and regulations.
o Document job delays, problems, and conflicts related to quality.
o Maintain quality and tolerances of machinery.
o Effectively communicates with all customers, employees, and managers in a timely and professional manner. Response time to all (external AND internal) is critical.
o Inspects work in progress and finished products for accuracy of order and quality of work.
o Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
o Maintains communication, reports, processes, and other records through company provided technology and software.
o Understands and complies with Company and legal safety requirements.
o Is available to work overtime and weekends as needed.
