Fabrication Group Leader - 2nd Shift

We are looking for a Fabrication Group Lead to join our Greenwood, IN facility on a 2nd Shift schedule. You will be responsible for providing day-to-day functional guidance and training to operators in the fabrication department for the overall direction and performance to provide the highest quality products for the Company.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate production to meet schedules and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed at all times, paying particular attention to safety, quality, and maintenance of equipment
  • Oversee and assure that proper maintenance and care is taken on all machines and reports any malfunctions or equipment problems to Management
  • Maintain clean, orderly and safe work areas at all times
  • Perform periodic inspections of parts being run to insure both visual quality and dimensional quality standards are maintained
  • Work closely with supervisor to foster teamwork, ensure correctness and accuracy of products, and compliance with all company policies and procedures

What You'll Need:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus three or more years of fabrication experience. College degree and prior leadership/supervisory experience preferred
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, part numbers, operations sheets and other pertinent information to determine appropriate operations
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and operations to be formed
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
