Founded in 1959, Richmond is a leading global food manufacturer which provides over 10,000 top-quality frozen, chilled and dry food products to the US Military. POSITION SUMMARY
Working independently and exercising good judgment and discretion, this role is responsible for the day to day Export Certificate Program. The position requires accountability for the seamless process of shipping customer orders, ensuring all shipping and export country requirements are met and maintained.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- E-mails Responds to customer e-mail request and ensure all deadlines are met.
- USDA/USDC Export Requirements - Reviews the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) website daily to ensure all export country requirements are met.
- Export Requirements Keeps all parties concerned informed regarding changes to export requirements.
- Export Requirements Verifies & confirms export requirements for products affected by product restrictions.
- Export Applications Verifies and addresses any discrepancies with the Production Team on export health certificate applications.
- USDA/USDC Export Certificates Creates USDA and USDC Export Certificates for all export loads and maintains 100% accuracy
- EU Documentation Creates and/or double checks EU Documentation for outside warehouse facilities
- Provide UGR-A Slaughter Letters per customer request
- USDA Veterinarian Is the liaison between Richmond Wholesale and the USDA Vet; builds and maintains business relationships
- PHIS (Public Health Information System) As administrator of the PHIS Site, trains and assists other users in processing Export Health Certificates in the PHIS Online System
- Vet Runs Takes USDA Certificates to Vet offices for signatures.
- USDC Lot Certificates Processes final Lot Certificates based upon score sheets from USDC inspections.
- HS Codes Verifying correct and accurate HS Codes for all items.
- Responsible for scanning of all original USDA & USDC Export Health Certs and USDC Lot Inspection Cert and saving in appropriate folders for easy access.
- DLA Audit Prep Pull and review all seafood Certs for pending audits; ensure copies are provided to appropriate parties.
- Temperature Monitoring Devices Monitors usage and requests replacement stock as needed.
- Follow-Up Daily follow ups of unresolved tasks are required to maintain 100% fill rate on all customers orders.
- Metrics Provides information for department metrics
- Accuracy Ensures 99% accuracy is maintained on all containers shipped
- Problem Solving - Utilizes job knowledge to resolve problems and suggest strategic order processing opportunities to improve customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for scanning of all original USDA & USDC Export Health Certs and USDC Lot Inspection Cert and saving in appropriate folders for easy access.
- Claims All claims must be resolved within 24-48 hours.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Education and Experience
- Position requires a four year degree preferably in Business or a minimum of four years of experience or an equivalent in education and work experience working in an administrative, customer service or logistics area or an equivalent of combined education and work experience.
Skills needed
- Experience in Microsoft Outlook and Word with intermediate Excel skills

Work Environment
- The work environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting. It is well lighted and the noise level is moderate.
