AT&T is seeking an Expert Cybersecurity to serve as the engagement lead focusing on operationalizing public-private sector-wide partnerships. The role will represent the AT&T Chief Security Office (CSO) on operational initiatives as part of the public-private partnership with government and identify opportunities to improve cyber operations. You will work to develop a cybersecurity-focused plan and strategy with targeted actions, including how to enhance sector operational activities with an objective to improve AT&T cybersecurity operations.  You will identify, build, and manage relationships within the critical infrastructure sectors representing Information Security leadership at sector forums focused on operational cybersecurity and information sharing.  You will participate on behalf of AT&T in specific operation-focused cyber initiatives. You will report to the AT&T Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and work closely with the Cyber Security Office Leadership and AT&T External Affairs to identify opportunities for thought leadership and external engagements, while leveraging AT&T subject matter experts to support a range of cybersecurity initiatives.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the CSO senior cybersecurity advisor and lead for sector cybersecurity operational initiatives.  

  • Create and execute a comprehensive strategy to improve AT&T cybersecurity operations with Federal partners and sector members aligned with and supporting the corporate business strategy.

  • Craft messaging that clearly articulates the AT&T position as it relates to sector operational cybersecurity initiatives.

  • Develop an action plan to engage with critical infrastructure, systemic risk groups on operational cybersecurity initiatives.

  • Work closely with the CSO Leadership Team and AT&T External Affairs to identify and/or assess opportunities for external leadership roles.

  • Serve as AT&T lead and coordinate a variety of government cybersecurity operational initiatives with a goal to improve cybersecurity operations

  • Provide direct support to the CISO and other CSO leadership serving in external leadership positions impacting cyber operations. 

  • Work with the extended Corporate Communications team to amplify messaging externally, including successful business partnerships with demonstrable results, cybersecurity awareness, progress on modernization and other key initiatives.

  • Act as a cybersecurity advisory, partner, and coach to the CSO Leadership Team.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Master's degree communications, government or related/fields/extensive experience a plus.

  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity communications, and stakeholder engagement.

  • A background in cybersecurity outreach and communications is key, ideally supporting a Cyber Executive or similar position.

  • Experience in serving as a representative to larger, sector-wide groups; experience in providing support to senior executives and preparing materials for senior executives and Boards.

  • A proven track record in building relationships with senior leaders and being able to provide consistent, executive level support to senior leadership. A background in working across government and industry.

  • Superb writing skills and extensive experience in developing executive level materials.

  • An innovative and creative thinker who can get to the essence of the matter and communicate concisely and in an engaging manner.

  • An action-oriented, execution driven person would be ideal.

  • Business acumen, change management, project leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

  • A collaborative team player who will solicit and offer input, influence, and support decision-making.

Our Expert Cybersecurity earns between $174,100.00-$261,100.00 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
