Work Hours and Time Zone: Traditional Business Hours in Central Time Zone

Program Knowledge/Experience

● QuickBooks certified and/or experience in QuickBooks online (QuickBooks Pro-advisor certification preferred)

● Confident in exploring or familiarity with Tax Dome.

● Proficient in Individual, partnership, & corporate tax returns in IL and MO

● Proficient in Drake Tax Preparation

● College Classes or Degree in applicable areas (preferred)

● 5 years Bookkeeping experience (preferred)

● CPA or EA (preferred)

● 5 years experience in Tax Preparation (preferred)

Reporting and Accountability

● Zoom conferences with supervisor(s) at scheduled times.

● Frequently update emails or tracking of tasks completed, intentions for projects, and questions or needs from team members

● Regular and timely Communication using email and phone.

Responsibilities with this Role

● Set up new clients in QuickBooks.

● Enter transactions and categorize income and expenses in the client’s QuickBooks account.

● Communicate directly with clients when necessary to ensure expenses are categorized

correctly.

● Reconcile bank statements in QuickBooks.

● Enter journal entries when needed.

● Calculate and submit sales tax forms for clients.

● Assist in getting clients set up with state tax and payroll accounts as needed.

● Set up new employees and run payroll for clients.

● Send payroll reports to clients.

● Preparation and/or review of federal and state income tax returns for individuals (1040),

partnerships (1065), and corporations (1120 and 1120S). 1041 and 990 experience a plus.

● Perform tax research where appropriate.

● Provide basic accounting services as needed.

● Maintain technical tax skills through on-the-job training and participation in internal tax

training sessions.

● Communicate directly with clients as needed.

● Written correspondence via email for simple solutions and relevant communication related to your role.

● Verbal communication on behalf of the company or team regarding routine situations and relevant communication related to your role.

● Client Management as indicated by company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

● Create, edit, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for systems and processes related to your role.

● Update this Job Description as changes occur.

● Perform all work in compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures.

● Other activities agreed upon and requested by Kingdom Financial leadership.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
