Experienced Medical Receptionist / Front Office Coordinator

Vein Clinics of Hawaii is a busy Specialty Medical Practice with offices on Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the Big Island. We are currently looking for an Experienced Medical Receptionist / Front Office Coordinator to join our team in our Hilo office. This position plays a key role in our company and working as a team is essential for daily operations to run efficiently. Applicant must possess exceptional customer service skills with the "Aloha" spirit, be mature, honest, compassionate, dependable, organized and able to openly communicate with patients, staff and the public. The position requires you to work independently and as a team, multi-task between answering the phones, checking patients in and out, scheduling patients, entering patient demographics, verifying insurances, collecting co-pays and account balances and also a support to the clinical staff. The position would also be required to work from time to time out of our office in Waimea.

Duties and responsibilities are listed but not limited to:

Inputting new patient demographics and insurance.

Insurance verification & plan benefits.

Scheduling consultation, office visits, procedures and ultrasound appointments.

Greeting walk-in's and scheduled patients, ensuring prompt service with the aloha spirit.

Answer all incoming phone calls and able to direct caller to appropriate staff or able to complete callers request.

Collect copay and account balances.

Answering inquires with knowledge of office procedures and guidelines.

Maintain cleanliness of the office to present a clean and professional environment.

Adheres to established safety, confidentiality, compliance and legal requirements.

Must have reliable and consistent attendance.

Perform other duties as assigned.
