2nd SHIFT DETAILS:
Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 2:00am (10 hr. days), Friday 1:30pm- 12:00am (8 hr. day)
WILLING TO TRAIN THOSE WHO HAVE 5 AXIS MILLING EXPERIENCE!
Experienced CNC Machinist (Level II / III)
· Edits, sets-up, and operates CNC and occasionally conventional machines in a safe and efficient manner to produce IGT parts to specifications, including complex or difficult parts
· Inspects first-run and in-process parts using precision measuring equipment.
· Promptly and accurately completes all required recordkeeping.
· Trains and assists co-workers with CNC machine operation and problem solving.
· Performs preventative machine maintenance per requirements.
· Keeps the machine and surrounding work area clean, safe and well organized to 6s standards.
· Develops and improves machine processes and writes process data sheets.
· Deburrs parts when time allows or required.
· Maintains the security and confidentially of our customer’s products and documentation.
· Authorized to rework parts to meet customer specifications when a defect is discovered prior to being moved to another operation, and the rework is a continuation of the operation that was being performed.
· Identify and implement improvement opportunities through the use of QVS tools such as Systematic Problem Solving, Process Management, Value Stream Mapping, etc.
Ability to access all required documents and to work from detailed instructions and prescribed routines to perform duties through use of Manufacturing Operations and Tooling (MOT) sheets
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Job Qalifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
· Experience: 5 years experience in set-up and operating CNC machines in a high-precision environment with complex parts.
Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to read, understand and interpret complex blueprints and apply a variety of geometric & trigonometric principles with minimal or no supervisory oversight. Experience in uploading, downloading, and editing of programs. Knowledge of cutting tool principles and use. Ability to read, understand, analyze and interpret technical procedures through use of Manufacturing Operational and Tools Traveler (MOT). Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in a timely manner. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety requirements for this position are safety glasses, steel-toed work boots, and rubber gloves
