As the Experience Manager at Peju Winery, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and delivering exceptional experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of guest interactions, ensuring that every visitor receives unparalleled service and gains a deep appreciation for our wines, vineyards, and brand. Requirements:Event Coordination:
- Plan and execute a variety of events, including wine tastings, food pairings, private dinners, and corporate gatherings within budget.
- Primary contact with culinary team on menu development, dietary and culinary requirements.
- Conducts weekly meetings with operations, facilities, and culinary teams.
- Coordinate with vendors, caterers, and other external partners to ensure successful event execution.
- Monitor event budgets and expenses to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct additional site visits or walkthroughs.
- Creates BEO and confirms flow and staffing requirements with the Director of Hospitality.
- Schedules & confirms Experience Wine Hosts staffing prior to event date.
- Primary event lead day of event.
Team Leadership and Training:
- Lead and inspire a team of hospitality staff, including tour guides, tasting room associates, and event coordinators.
- Provide ongoing training and development to ensure that staff members embody the brand values and deliver exceptional service.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, quality, and excellence.
Sales and Promotion:
- Event proposals, follow-up, and contract execution.
- Actively promote wine sales and wine club memberships to guests during tastings and events.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop promotional strategies and initiatives.
- Collect and analyze guest feedback to continually enhance the guest experience and drive customer loyalty.
Safety and Security:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols for both staff and customers.
- Monitor security measures to protect the winery's assets.
Continuous Improvement:
- Seek opportunities for continuous improvement in customer experience, operational efficiency, and employee performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or Event planning preferred or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum of 3 years in event sales and administration or working for a luxury restaurant or resort with the above-listed responsibilities.
- Concierge or reservations experience is highly desirable.
- AMS or Commerce7 experience or similar POS software experience is highly preferred.
- One or more years of management or supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, with expertise in developing, inspiring and building engagement and trust with employees.
- Well-versed and stays on top of industry trends and consumer preferences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational, follow-up and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to embrace change and deliver top results no matter the obstacle.
- Ability to project credibility, in an honest, genuine and professional manner.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
