JOB SUMMARY:*
The primary responsibility of the Expeditor is to accurately fill patient meal orders, check each tray to see that it conforms to established quality and presentation standards and to organize the tasks and efforts of all staff involved in patient meal assembly and delivery. Performs all functions related to patient meals including but not limited to setting up and taking down tray assembly area, grouping meal requests for efficient delivery, communicating patient requests to kitchen personnel, filling house dietary trays and delivering trays when needed. Assists with dishwashing, cart set-up and sanitizing. Helps prepare cold food items and assists other staff as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent. Training in cooking, culinary arts or hospitality industry preferred.
Experience
Experience in the hospitality industry (restaurant or hotel) preferred.
Licensure/Credentials
Have or able to obtain and maintain a Food Handler’s Permit. ServSafe certification or Culinary Arts Training preferred.
