Position Summary: The Executive DirectorSupply Chain will develop processes and execute all activities both within the Supply Chain and between the Supply Chain and CHS Entities related to each phase of the Capital Equipment Life-Cycle Management Model. Manages and oversees all requests for proposal for equipment, construction and outside services. Communicate effectively and work closely with the Product Evaluation Standardization Committee to ensure that products utilized by selected capital equipment meets the Supply Chain cost and standardization goals. Work with CHS entities to capture all necessary data to optimize repair service coverage to reduce costs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with CHS Entity administrators and functional managers in planning, developing and executing all processes related to each Capital Equipment Life-Cycle Management Phase.
- Defines technology needs by developing an understanding to substantiate/refute actual and perceived technology need drivers.
- Assist with establishing annual capital equipment budgets based on technology needs at CH Facilities.
- Plan and schedule annually all major acquisitions equipment and construction, generate RFP specifications based on network-wide established budgets, receive and summarize vendor proposals, coordinate selection negotiation processes.
- Coordinates the removal of equipment no longer clinically acceptable including final disposition of such equipment.
- Assists Biomed at each of the CHS Facilities with the coordination of policy and process.
- Oversees the outsourced Service Contract and Self Insured Remi Programs.
- Maintains established corporate and departmental policies and procedures, goals and objectives.
- Conformity with the Catholic Health Security policies and procedures.
Position Requirements and Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related Technology Field

Experience:
- 15+ years hospital experience managing capital equipment assets and related repair service.
- 10+ years of construction/project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of patient imaging equipment with 15+ years of purchasing highly advanced imaging systems or management of full modality imaging department.
- Sound knowledge of Building Design, Construction, Mechanical, and Electrical principles.
- Experience with development and oversight of Requests for Proposal for large medical equipment purchases and construction/renovation projects.
- Full knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
