Lead IT Development Architecture for OCC"s Development, Testing, and Integration team, managing a team of architects and developers. Scope of responsibilities will include both legacy applications under the Encore platform and development of the risk applications/services for the new Ovation platform under the Renaissance program.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
- Build, inspire, and guide a high-performance team of IT professionals, including architects and shared-services developers to deliver best in class applications/services for Clearing, Risk, Data, and Testing.
- Interact with Product Owners, Technology Leads, Project Managers, and Leadership Team members to recommend solutions that best meet needs of the organization.
- Collaborate with Clearing, Data, Architecture, Integration Testing, Financial Risk Management, and Quantitative Risk Management teams to plan and execute technology solutions.
- Provide input to Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Solutions Architecture (SA) designs and standards.
- Enforce Enterprise Architecture and Solutions Architecture standards for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Set and enforce development standards and metrics for measuring developer productivity using Jellyfish as the primary tool.
- Develop procedures and common metrics to ensure that efficiency, collaboration, and quality standards are achieved.
- Conduct design and source code reviews to ensure that applications adhere to the established standards.
- Establish performance engineering practices for capacity planning, performance tuning, diagnostics, problem detection and resolution.
- Verify that enterprise-wide application design standards are adhered to.
- Ensure compliance with Enterprise Technology Delivery, CI/CD, Architecture Review Board, GSD (Good Software Delivery), and Security practices.
- Represent the team at the Architecture Review Board and Monitoring Working Group.
- Perform the role of relationship manager third party software (e.g. Ververica, Redis, etc.)
- Prepare and maintain Solution Design documentation in collaboration with Solution Architecture adhering to Architectural Standards set by EA and SA.
- Drive team productivity and focus through quarterly Objective Key Results (OKRs).
- Attend educational courses and seminars to expand your knowledge and skills on the job.

- Minimum fifteen years' experience with leading software development teams with a focus on financial risk systems.
- Experience with Agile development processes for enterprise software solutions.
- Solid understanding of options and derivatives clearing and settlement business processes.
- Strong organizational leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and make decisions quickly.
- Capability to support processes and development teams across a diversified group of business segments.
- Knowledgeable about industry trends, best practices, and change management
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers, co-workers, and Executive Management

Technical Skills:
- Experience in
- scaled agile framework (SAFE)
- technologies that include Java, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Jira, and Github
- utilizing best practices in software engineering
- CI/CD pipeline
- Past/Current experience of 3+ years working on a large-scale cloud native project.
- Experience with cloud technologies and migrations using public cloud vendor preferably using cloud foundational services like AWS's VPCs, Security groups, EC2
Education and/or Experience:
BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics or a similar technical field
