Responsibilities

  • What You'll Do:

  • V2X is seeking an Executive Director of Compensation responsible for developing, implementing, and communicating compensation programs for the company. Reporting to the Head of Total Rewards, this position will be responsible for the design and implementation of competitive compensation programs including job architecture, salary structures, and incentive plans that are competitive and effective at attracting, retaining, and motivating talent in support of business goals and objectives. This role will serve as a leader, subject matter expert, and trusted advisor to the HR community and the entire V2X business and will devise and implement project strategies and in a cost-effective and impactful manner.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Serving as the overall strategic architect of and subject matter expert in compensation to the business, to include the CHRO, the CEO and other members of the executive leadership team.

  • Ensure that compensation programs are aligned with the organization’s goals, values, culture, and budget.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to benchmark and monitor the competitiveness and effectiveness of compensation programs.

  • Partner with senior management, HR partners, and external consultants to communicate and educate employees and managers on compensation programs and practices.

  • Manage the annual compensation cycle, including salary reviews, bonus plans, equity grants and recognition programs.

  • Developing and implementing the compensation strategy and philosophy for the organization.

  • Provide guidance and direction on all compensation matters.

  • Design, implement, and evaluate compensation philosophy, programs, policies, and procedures, such as base pay, incentive pay, equity plans, and recognition programs.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to compensation.

  • Provide compensation reports and insight to support decision making and planning.

  • Stay updated on compensation trends, best practices, and legal developments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience preferably compensation management with at least four (4) years in a leadership role.

  • Experience in global and government contracting companies with large-scale and mature corporate organizations.

  • Experience developing and administering compensation programs to include job architectures, base pay, and incentive plans.

  • Other Requirements:

  • May work extended hours, as required.

  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • Master's degree in Compensation or Human Resources desired.

  • Certifications/Licenses:

  • Certification in Compensation or Human Resources is a plus.

  • Skills and Technology Used:

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills; ability to take large volumes of complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner to senior management; uses data and a cogent problem-solving methodology in decision making and impact assessment.

  • Possesses strategic thinking skills to synthesize scenarios and diverse perspectives to problem solving, focused on aligning projects with broader business objectives.

  • Innovative thinker with a passion for driving change, solution oriented, and methodologies to enhance operational effectiveness.

  • Naturally inquisitive, curious in seeking out information for understanding and decision making. Must be able to quickly process fact patterns, draw a conclusion and take action.

  • Analytical skills focused on problem solving and process improvement.

  • Ability to execute and complete the integration of policies and procedures.

  • Business/Compensation Acumen:

  • Strong business acumen with comprehensive knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and methodologies.

  • Strong project management with experience in successfully leading and collaborating on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment across multiple business functions.

  • Possesses change management and planning skills.

  • Understanding of interdependencies between operations and business needs.

  • Demonstrates decisiveness in resolving business problems and identifying personal and project priorities.

  • Business Partner/Effective Communication:

  • Proven interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence with the ability to collaborate and engage key constituents at all levels.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Effectively conveys ideas and messages both formally and informally, in speaking and in writing.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, to include with and for executive leadership.

  • Able to deliver clear, concise, accurate, articulate and persuasive written and oral messages, supply supporting facts as necessary and be adept at tailoring their communication to their audience.

  • Experience in creating an atmosphere in which timely information flows smoothly through the organization.

  • Platform presentation skills are imperative.

  • Someone who is adaptable, comfortable, and resilient in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities and business needs.

  • Keen sense of prioritization with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-motivated and directed, eagerly tackles new endeavors to achieve intended results.

  • Must quickly assimilate and establish themselves as a trusted partner to the Senior Leadership Team.

  • Experience in collaborating with executive leadership and other functions in building programs and strategies.

  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with a broad group of stakeholders in order to foster trust and influence key decisions.

  • Software:

  • Microsoft Office 365 suite including SharePoint

  • Proficient in HR and compensation systems and tools.

  • Technology:

  • Personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.

  • Team Management:

  • No direct report reports. This position has oversight and training responsibility for policies and procedures.
