Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assure the provisions of high quality services needed or desired by residents.
- Assure that residents receive appropriate levels of assistance with activities of daily living and clinical services offered by the community.
- Monitor on a daily basis, key measurable indicators of the quality and requirements of senior residents.
- Maintain relationships between the residents and the residents families and/or other individuals responsible for the general well-being of the resident.
- Organize and administer resident admission and appropriate categorization of residents including maintaining the targeted occupancy levels and cost control.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with existing and potential referral sources, including: hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, physicians, and the general public.
- Support Sales and Marketing Director as needed.
- Create and maintain relationships with significant community organizations and agencies.
- Attain and/or maintain ongoing compliance with appropriate state, local, federal, regulatory, and/or accrediting body standards. Prepares to meet all standards and requirements through regular internal audit, updating of programs and operating policies and procedures, including medical records documentation and environmental standards.
- Establish and maintain the annual operating and capital budget.
- Implement selection, orientation, in-service, scheduling, and evaluation of all team members employed at the community.
- Direct, supervise, and evaluate work activities of all personnel at the community, including contracted team members and volunteers.
- Maintain complete and accurate personnel and resident records.
- Promote team-building of team members and of leadership initiatives at regular corporate and community team meetings.

- Experience in a community-based residential facility (CBRF) and/or a CBRF setting is preferred
- Bachelors degree in business, health care, gerontology, hotel/restaurant management, or closely-related area.
- Masters degree is highly preferred.
- Must meet one of the three following qualifications:
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as an Executive Director or administrator within a continuing care retirement community.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience as an Executive Director or administrator in a long-term care senior living environment that includes demonstrated leadership within a health center.
- Minimum ten (10) years of progressive leadership with the hospitality industry including but not limited to hotel or resort management.
