About us
Wisconsin Community Media is a statewide association serving municipal, educational, and non-profit media centers as well as independent media producers that specialize in serving local communities. WCM’s mission is, “Uniting to collaborate, educate, advocate, and share resources to build strong media centers and responsive local programming for Wisconsin communities.”
WCM is looking for a motivated and well-organized leader, who is excited about working on our mission, and ready to take the reins of the association after a period of training. The successful candidate will be attracted by the range of responsibilities, the flexible and independent nature of the position, and the potential for having an important impact on local media in Wisconsin.
On average, the Executive Director works between 16 and 20 hours per week. However, during the first five months of the year, the Executive Director typically logs several weeks at full-time due to event management responsibilities. This is counterbalanced with the ability to work very lightly or not at all for between six to eight weeks at various other times of the year. This is a contract position and comes with no benefits.
