Executive Culinary Manager
Summary:
Mayflower Executive Culinary Manager oversees coordinating and supervising a restaurant’s culinary staff according to food safety standards. Your duties include hiring, training, and scheduling, performing quality control on food leaving the kitchen and ordering inventory to keep up with demand. Ultimately, you will ensure our guests have a pleasant dining experience.
Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation- Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers- Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction- Develop and implement menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and customer preferences- Monitor food costs and work to minimize waste- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
-Maintain high-performance standards, communicate, coach and motivate kitchen staff.
Experience:- Previous experience in a supervisory role in a restaurant or catering setting- Strong knowledge of food handling and safety procedures- Excellent organizational and time management skills- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment- Strong leadership and team management abilities- Knowledge of shift management and kitchen management best practices- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards
