Location: Clifton, NJ - with training in various locations

FLSA Status: Exempt

FT - Salary Range: $73,000-$85,000

Position Description:

The first person in the culinary chain of command - responsible for monitoring and ensuring that the organization's systems and standard operating procedures are met for Kitchen, BBQ, Pizza and Hoedown. Oversees all aspects of production planning and execution.

Your day-to-day:

• Ensure accurate inventories- daily and monthly
• Conducting Weekly schedules for Kitchen Team Members
• Culinary/food handling experience, ability to follow production planning schedule
• Communicating and delegating with a large team
• Responsible for day-to-day operations of the kitchen
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Uphold our mission statement "Customer is Always Right"
• Overall morale of department
• Adherence to food safety and health code regulations. Maintain a Health dept. rating of "A"
• Able to innovate and implement new ideas.
• Other assigned job duties

What you bring to the team:

• Excellent customer service
• Good oral communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Bachelor's degree from a Culinary Institute
• Food Safety and Sanitation certification.
• Expertise in global cuisines.
• Knowledge of food trends and market conditions
• Introduce labor reducing equipment and efficiencies.
• Cultivate relationships with local culinary schools for interns 
• Cross-training to improve team's skills in different areas of the kitchens.
• Review daily labor
• Able to work effectively under staff and labor constraints
• Strong work ethic
• Above average math and computer skills

Working Conditions:

• This position requires frequent standing, walking, and occasional pulling, pushing, squatting, reaching, and lifting with a maximum of 45lbs
• This position requires occasional exposure to cramped or confined spaces, extreme heat (non-weather related), and noise
