Event Server – Part Time
Summary:
AAC Event Servers are responsible for the setup of all events including tables, chairs and buffet equipment, while providing an exceptional service experience before, during, and after each event. They will work in a fast-paced environment while remaining attentive to members and guest in a friendly and cordial manner.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work as directed to support the mission and values of the Atlanta Athletic Club
- Executes the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet and club events
- Promotes an attitude of teamwork to include assisting others both on the floor and with side work
- Greets everyone with enthusiasm and friendliness
- Answers guest questions about food, beverages, and our facilities accurately
- Completes side work during non-busy hours
- Provides the highest level of service in accordance with our Club standards
- Maintains a professional appearance in an AAC provided uniform at all times
- Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area
- Displays full knowledge of setups and service standards
- Assist in other departments/club functions as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Able to work at least three shifts a week including holidays and weekends
- Physical requirements for this position are hearing, speaking, seeing, carrying, bending, walking, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 30 pounds, and being able to stand for 4 to 8 hours, or the ability to accomplish the physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations
- Banquet and catering experience preferred, but will train the right candidate
- Strong organization, communication, and problem solving skills
- Service-oriented with a positive attitude
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older and be able to obtain an alcohol pouring permit from the City of Johns Creek. Information about pouring permits can be found at the bottom of the page
- High school diploma or equivalent
