Day in the Life of This Role

This position is responsible to plan and execute high impact, interactive educational experiences that are focused on company goals & results.  This team member will be an active and engaged member of the brand experience team, working with all teams in the company to deliver a flawless experience to our brand partners.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with team members in the planning, preparation and execution of various events and educational programs, which includes agenda and content development, event details, attendee and staff logistics.
  • Plan educational experiences at the Certified Angus Beef Culinary Center. Work in collaboration with internal teams to execute these events with superior customer service.
    • Collaborate with the team to make sure each event drives sales and relationship goals with the account.
    • Maintain a budget summary for each event.
    • Constantly develop new ideas to remain relevant and interactive with each session and group.
  • Collaborate with leadership to expand upon marketing efforts at Culinary Center
  • Plan and execute customer Ranch Day events at farms and ranches across North America
  • Collaborate with team members to build impactful and engaging online Certified Angus Beef University trainings.
  • Work closely with executive account manager and account marketing teams to create relevant agendas & programs for various high profile company events.
  • Create event follow up and wrap up plans. Evaluate and share event successes.
  • Be actively engaged in all activities of the brand experience team and willing to step in on various tasks as needed to successfully plan and execute events.


Travel: Must be willing and able to travel (car or airplane), up to approximately 10%. May require overnight travel and/or weekend work.


Location: This in-office position is located in Wooster, Ohio.


EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

Education/Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, in marketing or a related field; and/or
  • Two to three years of event planning experience.
  • A background in agriculture and the beef industry is preferred; agriculture education and/or life experience.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Problem solver, critical thinker, decision-maker, information gatherer, hands-on and strong prioritization.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple events in various stages of completion.
  • Big picture, goal focused, always looking for opportunities to make an impact with each event.
  • Exceptional coordination & project management skills that will aid in the planning, developing & execution of event agendas.
  • Ability to deliver professional communications (both written and verbal) and superior customer service to customers – both internal & external.
  • Ability to create & manage an event planning timeline and work with co-workers to deliver tasks/projects on these deadlines.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team within tight timelines in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
  • Self-motivated, high energy, pleasant and positive personality, and sound judgment.
  • Highly organized, flexible, innovative, resourceful, and proactive.
  • High attention to detail and ability to see details through to completion.
  • Passion for customer service and supporting the strategies of sales team members.
