In this role, you’ll be responsible for helping deliver an amazing experience for clients by seamlessly preparing for and executing all events, including set up and tear down. In short, you’ll be the go-to person for delivering an unforgettable experience.
Our event season runs from Labor Day to Memorial Day. The summer season is more traditional office hours and time is spent focusing on special projects, facility improvements, and preparation for the upcoming season. This position also assists the sales team in providing tours for prospective couples.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Execute flawless events through exceptional customer service, planning, and communication.
- Conduct timely meetings starting at 30 days out from event dates including, but not limited to final detail meetings, vendor walk throughs, and weekly team meetings.
- Attend and help facilitate rehearsal events.
- Conduct Manager on Duty shifts every third weekend.
- Act as Supporting Manager every third weekend.
- Oversee event staff and vendors providing consistent direction and communication on responsibilities.
- Assist with floral installations as needed.
- Review event and floral summaries to check for accuracy, completeness of information, and proactively address issues as needed.
- Deliver an exceptional welcoming experience for all current and prospective clients.
- Ensure all client facing areas are clean and presentable.
- Ordering of all alcohol and rentals such as tables, chairs, linens, and china.
- Processing payments for distributors, vendors, and rentals.
- Train staff on hospitality and customer service and monitor performance.
- Ensure vendor paperwork is received, accurate, and correctly processed.
- Proactively problem solve issues that arise and manage multiple priorities.
- Maintain consistent and excellent written and verbal communication both with internal and external management, employees, and clients.
- Monitor and maintain staffing levels and participate in interviewing and selecting event staff in partnership with leadership and HR.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Customer service and/or previous event experience required.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team preferred.
- Attention to detail, well organized, and strong follow-through with all tasks.
- Ability to multi-task and act with urgency in all things.
- Excellent listening skills and a team player.
- High levels of integrity, honesty, and discretion; someone who consistently earns and maintains trust.
- Full physical mobility for the entire duration of the shift such as walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to safely grip, lift, and carry goods weighing up 50 lbs.
- Ability to work nights 2 out of 4 weekends a month during event season.
This schedule consists of:
- One week of Tuesday-Friday working in an Administrative Role.
- One week of Wednesday-Sunday (days only) working in a Support/Setup Role to the Manager on Duty.
- One week of Wednesday-Sunday (days and nights) working as Manager on Duty before the cycle repeats itself.
- Ability to work occasional Saturdays in the summer.
- Ability to work in hot and humid conditions.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
