Position: Event Logistics Coordinator
Reports to: Player Marketing Manager
JobType: Full Time / remote
Salary: $38,000 + benefits after 60 days
Description: The MLBPAA seeks an organized and professional Event Logistics Coordinator for its Legends Entertainment Group Department. This individual ideally comes from a guest services or talent relations background and is expected to support the Player Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator in all aspects related to the booking, coordination and execution of sports legend appearances that come through the office. A successful candidate is expected to work independently while also functioning as part of a team that secures a high volume of talent bookings and provides high-level customer service to both clients and the organization’s constituents.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Comprehensively formalize and support the coordination and execution of sports legend appearances the Player Marketing Managers secure for clients. Tasks will include but not be limited to preparing, organizing and submitting appearance and service agreements, invoices, payment paperwork, and coordinating and securing travel itineraries
· Efficiently manage and maintain the Player Marketing Managers upcoming talent appearances, which will include interacting and collaborating with talent or agents, and clients/agency contacts
· Ensure that clients are fully prepared to successfully receive the talent at their events, and that talent are prepared and ready to fulfill the contracted deliverables. Anticipate travel-related needs and provide detailed itineraries for manager and clients
· Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and maintain confidentiality protocols
· Track and maintain player payment processes in conjunction with accounting personnel
· Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity when dealing with clients, talent/agents, industry professionals, and colleagues
Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles to different audiences.
· Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
· proficient in Microsoft office products
· At least basic working knowledge of Major League Baseball and professional sports in general is preferred, but not required
