Floater Warehouse Technician/Driver

Job Description:
OPAV is looking to hire a highly motivated individual with a positive attitude to join our team as a Floater Warehouse Technician/Driver. This role requires flexibility and adaptability as you will be responsible for driving and assisting in the warehouse during weekends and days/nights, ensuring the smooth operation of our events and deliveries.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive and deliver inventory for local shows and events in Central Florida.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills during deliveries to maintain our excellent reputation.
• Coordinate deliveries and pickups with the Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient logistics.
• Assist in the warehouse as needed, including pulling, moving, and restocking equipment and supplies.
• Be ready to take on additional duties and responsibilities to support daily operations.
• Project a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry professionals, and the community.
• Follow company policies and procedures that contribute to improving day-to-day operations.
• Exceptional organizational skills, enabling efficient management of inventory and resources.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Occasional lifting and moving of objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, heat, and humidity.
• The majority of work is performed outdoors and in a warehouse setting, with occasional office work.
• Adherence to PPE and Safety Policies is mandatory.
• The work environment may have a loud noise level.

Supervisory Responsibilities and Support: 

• The Warehouse Technician/Driver role does not involve any supervisory responsibilities. 

Preferred education and experience

• Must be 18 or older.
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Audio Visual equipment experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of the Central Florida area.
• Possess a valid Driver's License and adhere to insurance requirements. A clean driving record with no major violations.
• Preferred qualifications include CDL License, Forklift Training, OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 Certificates or or similar warehouse credentials are a plus but not mandatory.
• Experience Driving Vans, Box Trucks, Pulling Trailers, and other vehicles as licensed and capable.
• Exhibit strong verbal solid communication skills for effective team coordination.
• Possess working knowledge of construction tools and basic carpentry or installation skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively and adapt in a fast-paced industry.

Pay Range:

$15-20/HR plus overtime; If you are offered the position, the Actual hourly rate will vary depending upon various factors, including relevant experience and skill set.
