Event Coordinator Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Extremely detail oriented
- Review meeting space needs and search/secure space based on programming to ensure food and beverage, room rental revenues and space blocks are secured accordingly
- Review and maintain constant focus on Banquet/Food Event Orders in order to execute for events
- Work closely with culinary teams to create customized menus for every event
- Work with any outside vendors (A/V, transportation) to secure contracts and needs
- Review event resumes for upcoming events entailing all needs are anticipated and communicated to operations team
- Review room list to client attendee list prior to event
- During events, physically double-check all function arrangements against specifications and correct where necessary
- Research costs for member activities for events
- On site coordination of event set up and break down
- Review final bills in full detail to determine any changed needed
- Assist with booking speakers, securing flights and organizing specific needs for programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a passion for events and desire to grow
- Understand the extreme importance of communicating details to teams internally and externally
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
