Escape Room Game Operator (Part-Time)

A Game of Rooms is looking for personable, outgoing, and quick-thinking individuals to join our team ASAP! We are currently located in Derwood/Rockville, MD just a short drive away from the Rockville Town Center area and Shady Grove metro station. If you're not familiar with Escape Rooms, google it and you'll see it's all the rage for corporate team-building events and group outings!

JOB EXPECTATIONS

• Communicating and engaging with guests of various ages to curate an enjoyable experience
• Memorizing dozens of game operations processes and hints and clues for each room
• Monitoring games and assisting guests as they play our rooms
• Staging and resetting the Escape Rooms
• Answering phone calls, processing payments, and managing our reservation system
• Running other job-related errands
• Cleaning the office space regularly and performing Escape Room maintenance
• Possess reliable transportation, showing up on time, and being focused while working
• Weekend availability - DEALBREAKER! If you can't work weekends, this isn't the right fit for you.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be:

• Have your own reliable transportation!
• Outgoing, good with people, and fluent in English
• Enthusiastic about providing a 5-star Escape Room experience through exceptional customer service
• Strongly driven to succeed, hard-working, and detail-oriented
• Capable of troubleshooting issues/problem-solve and thinking on your feet
• Able to work well with fellow Game Operators and be a great team player

Pay starts at $16.00/hr and increases based on skill sets and rooms memorized. This is a quick moving/thinking event so you'll never get bored sitting around doing the same old thing over and over!

Please be aware - This position is HIGHLY dependent on an excellent memory, social/outgoing skills, and being able to take the initiative on getting things done. Not everyone will be the right fit for this position.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
