Are you an experienced Foodservice Technician or Service Manager looking to cut down travel and apply your expertise in a leadership role?

Takkt FoodService is looking for someone with technical expertise in Foodservice equipment to begin in a new role leading a team of customer service reps and being the key point of contact for our technicians in the field. This role is crucial to the initiatives of the company and to support the growth we’re experiencing with our Private Label Equipment. The Private LabelEquipment Service & Parts Manager is a new role that will ensure our customers receive best in class service on our equipment.

This role will also be heavily involved during the new item introduction process, parts purchasing inventory levels and occasionally field questions from our internal sales team. This is a hands-on position which will work from the returns department and be heavily involved in the evaluation of returned equipment. The Service and Parts Manager will help to drive continuous product improvement from technical product analysis.

They will also generate revenue through overseeing the testing and approval for resale of returned equipment. The role will report to the Sr. Director of Private Label.

It is a salaried position Monday-Friday and on-site at the Takkt warehouse located in Harrison, OH. What you will do: Technical Support Key point of contact for our National Service Network provider Be the technical expert on our Private Label Refrigeration, Gas and Electric Equipment Connect with technicians in the field to troubleshoot and provide necessary information to fix issues for customers Consistently monitor open tickets to ensure issues are being addressed in a timely manner Go to person when our customer support reps are unable to answer based on knowledge level or information available Review, approve and maintain all schematics, diagrams and parts breakdowns provided to service network Maintain internal troubleshooting guides for our sales team and internal customer support team Involved in new item setup and testing to ensure quality Own the parts strategy for all new launches and current product lines Financial Tracking and Trend Reporting Utilizing dashboards, accurately track and report service costs upstream to be factored in to gross margins Set, maintain and enforce DNE’s in the field to ensure repairs are financially responsible vs. replacing the equipment Own defective rate reporting shared with Sr.

Director to catch trends, proactively address issues, and receive credit from manufacturers. Provide financial metric-based expertise on decisions to offer replacement warranty vs. Parts & Labor warranties Parts Management Set suggested customer sell prices and maintain Technician price list for all parts Bi-Weekly inventory review to advise purchasing of changes to parts forecasts Proactive mindset to ensure we conserve costs by keeping key service parts in stock and not replacing equipment Creation and Maintenance of exploded parts views for our sales team as well as web product pages Key point of contact for any issues related to parts from manufacturers and reaching resolution Customer Support Management Assist the team of 2 customer support representatives who handle our Private Label brands Create and maintain documentation for the team to outline duties/responsibilities Field calls/questions in the absence of customer support due to the volume of calls or time off Conduct trainings as needed to increase confidence of customer support when dealing directly with our customers Return Equipment Testing and Resale Management Own the decision of when we return/repair/sell equipment based on costs associated and projected sell price Monitor and maintain our Outlet listings both on the website as well as Ebay Control of Pricing to generate positive margins while turning inventory at acceptable rates Working from the return area, execute on the images and product testing to ensure the product is functional Provide repairs, within reason, in order for products to be functional and resold on our web platforms What you will get: Eligible immediately for 15 days of paid time off, eight paid holidays and one floating holiday Paid volunteer day Opportunity for growth within this role Competitive compensation commensurate with experience Employee bonus plan Comprehensive benefit package Paid Parental Leave 401(k) with company match What we need: High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of relevant experience within Foodservice Experience leading support roles OR exhibiting leadership qualities from past experiences Experience effectively dealing with technical issues over the phone guiding other technicians Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Teams Ability to manage priorities and hit goals without close supervision Strong communication skills verbal and written Electrical and mechanical service experience Valid driver’s license Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree or Higher 5-7 years demonstrated proficiency in field service Ability to understand financial information- costs, margin, labor costs, etc.
