 Automotive International Client, located in Spartanburg/Greenville, NC will performs planning of logistics structures in the plant and the warehouses.

We need US Citizens or Green Card holder candidates only, A minimum of  3+ years' of proven relevant professional experience. 

The Pay Rate for this position is: $43 - 52 Per Hour (Depending on Exp) Plus Overtime

Job Description

Equipment & Controls Planning Engineer

Position Purpose/Scope: What are the key objectives of the position?

Provides project planning, installation, start-up and acceptance, as well as engineering support of new installations and optimization measures of the conveyor and equipment technology in Assembly.

Position Responsibilities/Accountabilities: List the major duties/accountabilities to achieve the positions key objectives.

• Engineers the Controls Planning of technical equipment as delegated by the Section Manager.
• Evaluates concept evaluations with technical and financial focus for new facility and process equipment.
• Provides Project oriented planning and realization of measures in collaboration with the internal customer as well as external suppliers.
• Finds the optimum solutions regarding costs, quality, ergonomics, technical innovation and environment.
• Confers with management, engineering and other staff supporting structural capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
• Provides cost estimation (Invest, Budget), technical specification and request for quotes.
• Evaluates, coordinates and compiles bidder circle, call for bids, offers evaluation, recommendation for the award of contract, acceptance of the equipment from the suppliers and handing over to the operator as delegated by the Section Manager.
• Develops and implements equipment countermeasures to improve equipment reliability. Ensures all equipment design is capable of required uptime.
• Ensures all assigned countermeasures are developed on schedule and effective countermeasures.
• Ensures all assigned projects are on schedule and at/or under approved budget.
Performs other duties as assigned by Operations Supervisor. III. Position

Competencies:

A) Education: Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering preferred) or the equivalent of 4 years of engineering experience in the automotive industry.
B) Experience: 3 years of experience in an engineering environment (automotive process or automotive). 3 years of Project Management experience in several equipment and/or Controls Planning projects as well as structural modification.

C) Training: As applicable, per training guidelines.
D) Licenses and/or Certifications: N/A
E) Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Basic = less than 1 year of experience/training needed;
Intermediate = 1 – 3 years of experience/some training may be needed; Advanced = 3-5 years experience/no training needed;

Expert = 5+ years experience/able to train others.
Advanced = experience in controls and equipment (PLC Alan Bradley AND/OR Siemens S7; E-Plan).
Advanced = problem investigation & data analysis experience.
Advanced = long and short-term project management experience (continuous improvement, process analysis, Controls Planning)
Advanced = cross functional communication experience
Advanced = equipment maintenance experience in electrical, controls, software and mechanical areas.
Intermediate = experience using Microsoft Office applications
Intermediate = experience in CAD Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Ability to use and apply statistical methods to aid with process analysis.
German language skills preferred.

Primary Work Location/Shift: (If > 1 location, indicate % of time spent at each location.)  Spartanburg facility 90%
Travel/Training 10%
