Renesas Electronics America Inc. is looking to fill an Equipment Technician supporting our wafer fabrication equipment in our manufacturing facility in Palm Bay, Florida. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent written and communication skills. This position offers development opportunities working for a leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance analog semiconductors. Detailed Description of Activities:
- Technician is required to safely handle chemical and gas containers in accordance with work instructions.
- All work is to be performed in a safe manner, following all workplace safety protocols and requirements.
- Operation and maintenance (PM and Corrective) of chemical and gas distribution systems.
- Gas cylinder changes (including tonners, and 12 packs).
- Chemical container changes (including drums and totes).
- Basic troubleshooting of chemical and gas distribution systems.
- Daily rounds and readings, database update.
- Inventory of Chemicals and Gases.
- Use of powered lift equipment and manual equipment such as carts and pallet jacks.
- Emergency Response Team Member.
- Escalation of issues (shutdowns, safety concerns, material outages) to the appropriate person(s).
- Participation in internal and external audits.
- Manage spare parts stockroom (inventory, stocking, shipments, etc..).
- Other duties as assigned.
Training, Education, and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment.
- Electro-mechanical aptitude, problem solving ability.
- Familiar with basic operating systems like Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Stand/Walk up to 8 hours per day.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required including respirators, gloves, goggles, etc. Must be a US Citizen.
