Renesas Electronics America Inc. is looking to fill an Equipment Technician supporting our wafer fabrication equipment in our manufacturing facility in Palm Bay, Florida. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent written and communication skills. This position offers development opportunities working for a leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance analog semiconductors. Detailed Description of Activities:

  • Technician is required to safely handle chemical and gas containers in accordance with work instructions.
  • All work is to be performed in a safe manner, following all workplace safety protocols and requirements.
  • Operation and maintenance (PM and Corrective) of chemical and gas distribution systems.
  • Gas cylinder changes (including tonners, and 12 packs).
  • Chemical container changes (including drums and totes).
  • Basic troubleshooting of chemical and gas distribution systems.
  • Daily rounds and readings, database update.
  • Inventory of Chemicals and Gases.
  • Use of powered lift equipment and manual equipment such as carts and pallet jacks.
  • Emergency Response Team Member.
  • Escalation of issues (shutdowns, safety concerns, material outages) to the appropriate person(s).
  • Participation in internal and external audits.
  • Manage spare parts stockroom (inventory, stocking, shipments, etc..).
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Training, Education, and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment.
  • Electro-mechanical aptitude, problem solving ability.
  • Familiar with basic operating systems like Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

       Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
  • Stand/Walk up to 8 hours per day.

Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required including respirators, gloves, goggles, etc. Must be a US Citizen.
