Wedgewood Pharmacy is the leader in custom compounding for Equine veterinary prescribers and patients nationwide. We pride ourselves on world-class customer service. Due to high demand and growth, we are currently seeking an Equine Territory Manager to join our field sales team in the Central Valley (Sacramento, Fresno, Modesto) Territory.


Reporting to the Equine Regional Sales Manager, the Equine Territory Manager is accountable for professionally communicating the features and benefits of Wedgewood Pharmacy to veterinary professionals to gain commitment to prescribe and recommend our medications and services.


We are seeking a highly motivated individual that will be expected to quickly learn the Wedgewood Pharmacy medication offering an overall strategy to expand market share in veterinary hospitals. The candidate will leverage previous experiences to drive forward customer development and generate new revenue. The position requires overnight and weekend travel for sales calls and trade shows.


When will you work?

  • This is a full-time position working remotely.


What you’ll do:

  • Strong knowledge of the Equine industry
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a dedicated inside sales representative, inside sales supervisor, and regional Sales Manager.
  • Must have the ability to effectively resolve problems and issues by using judgment that is consistent with company policies and values.
  • Utilize sales tools (CRM, database reports, and competitive presence) to analyze territory and uncover opportunities that lead to increased territory revenue and stronger customer relationships.
  • Use database and customer knowledge to segment customers and build focus on high potential veterinary specialty practices.
  • Influence and persuade others to accept ideas.
  • Must be a self-starter able to work both independently and a member of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to travel regularly in the territory, as well as participate in regional and national industry conferences. Expected travel up to 50%


Who you are:

  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to establish comfortable two-way communications.
  • Motivated by a metrics-driven approach looking at a territory and performance.
  • Must be computer-literate, including management of e-mail, internet navigation, and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Salesforce.com knowledge would lend itself useful in this position.


What you’ve done:

  • Obtained a bachelor’s degree or other relevant industry training
  • 3-5 years of experience in customer development, sales or marketing role.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Equine Animal Health Sales
  • Experience in managing a large geographic field territory with daily and overnight travel.
