Job Description
Summary: Seeking an Avionics Engineer with experience in Environmental Testing, specializing in the development and flight of air-launched, hypersonic vehicle programs.
Job Requirements:
Must have 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
Knowledge of and experience with electrical engineering, avionics, experimental aircraft and/or launch vehicle integration
Fundamental understanding of avionics components level tests
Experience integrating launch vehicle or aircraft electrical systems
Familiarity with designing instrumentation systems
Experience in complex aerospace system development
Preferred Skills:
Environmental testing experience
Proficiency with Matlab, Python or equivalent
Familiarity with data acquisition and data processing
Experience with RF avionics components such as RF transmitters, GPS, RF cabling, and RF antennas
Familiarity with MIL-STD-461 Conducted Susceptibility (CS), Radiative Susceptibility (RS), and Radiative Emissions (RE) testing
Knowledge of RCC-319-19
Computer Skills:
Experience with National Instruments (NI) Compact RIO (cRIO) DAQ for data collection and test automation
Familiarity with Curtiss-Wright KAM-500 DAS and IADS data processing software for data acquisition
Experience using configuration management systems - Jira preferred
Job Responsibilities:
Create Environmental Test plans, procedures, reports to satisfy internal/external Avionics Test requirements
Participate in Environmental Tests both onsite/offsite
Contribute to failure analysis & generate recovery plans for test failures
Maintain/operate Environmental Test equipment such as vibration tables/thermal chambers
Support operations of existing Environmental Test instrumentation systems
Regular/comprehensive communication to Chief Engineer of Avionics & program avionics leads

Pay: 67-90

Pay Details: $67.00 to $90.00 per hour
