POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the housekeeping department at the hospital and surgery center, including: working with manager for interviewing, evaluating, discipline, scheduling, and maintaining cleanliness of patient rooms, common areas, and other areas following specialty procedures and isolation procedures as appropriate. Also responsible for overseeing cleanliness of physician offices. Is responsible for assuring all facilities of the regulatory requirements for housekeeping.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Associate degree, preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years of housekeeping experience, required.
- At least 5-years of housekeeping experience, preferred.
- Experience in a Supervisor role, preferred.
- Experience with cleaning in a hospital/healthcare environment, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Hosptial housekeeping including isolation protocols, required.
- Able to work in a busy environment and able to multitask, required.
- Able to operate a computer, required.
- Able to work with cleaning chemicals/disinfectants, etc., required.
- Possesses exceptional interpersonal skills and be able to problem solve, required.
- Able to work independently at running the housekeeping department, required.
- Able to work in a physically demanding job, required.
