- Ensures floors are free of dust and debris and of any and all black marks.
- Vacuums carpeted floors
- Windows are to be in clean and polished state
- All high dusting is to be maintained to alleviate dust from the patient’s environment.
- For the comfort and safety of the patient, the restroom is maintained in a clean and aseptic condition, while showers and tubs are in a clean and sanitary condition.
- Performs public restroom checks as assigned by shift.
- Maintains department safety. Labels all product bottles in accordance with MSDS. Sets out wet floor signs when mopping or cleaning spills.
- Picks up soiled linen from all areas as needed as well as taking care of attending to and cleaning emergency spillages.
- Performs patient discharge cleaning in a timely manner
- Performs other jobs as assigned

Experience:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial service preferred
Education:
- High school diploma/GED
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to communicate in English; ability to read and comprehend written instructions
- Attention to detail and demonstrated customer service skills
Working conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Regular, recurring and prolonged physical exertion such as standing or walking for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, stooping, crouching, crawling, and stretching is necessary
- Exert 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects and must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds
- Frequent repetitive hand/wrist motions and finger manipulation
- Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range
- Recurring exposure to moderate risks which require special safety and health precautions and the use of Personal Protective Equipment; risks such as exposure to housekeeping cleaning agents, odors, dust, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals; exposure to blood borne pathogens and outdoor weather conditions
