THE JOB:
As an Environmental Services Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning operations, ensuring cleanliness standards are met across various areas within the facility. You will provide leadership to cleaning staff, conduct quality assurance inspections, and manage resources efficiently to maintain a clean and safe environment. Additionally, you will mentor supervisors and line-level staff, communicate with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and organizational policies.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Supervising Cleaning Operations: Oversee daily cleaning operations in various areas to maintain cleanliness standards, while providing guidance and support to supervisors and line-level staff.
- Mentoring and Training: Mentor supervisors and line-level staff, providing guidance on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Quality Assurance Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to assess the quality of cleaning tasks performed by supervisors and line-level staff, providing feedback and guidance for improvement as needed.
- Resource Management: Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper allocation and utilization to support daily operations effectively.
- Communications and Reporting: Communicate with facility management and stakeholders regarding cleaning schedules, issues, and progress. Additionally, prepare reports on cleaning activities, performance metrics, and mentorship initiatives to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- At least 2 years of experience in Environmental Services
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent leadership skills
- Has a passion for promoting sustainability
- Has a willingness to actively engage in the development and growth of others.
- Takes pride in their work and is self- motivated.
