Laboratory Assistant - Flexible Schedule

Beacon Environmental, located in Bel Air, MD, recently moved to a state-of-the-art facility and is seeking motivated individuals to join our growing team. BEACON is currently seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support our laboratory with daily activities. This full-time position allows for candidates to have the flexibility to work 30 to 40 hours a week with an accommodating schedule (during regular business hours). This entry level position has a starting hourly salary of $24.00/hour and offers an opportunity to work in a climate-controlled environment with a talented staff of chemists at a Maryland based business that is internationally recognized as a leader in the environmental industry.

Beacon Environmental is a nationally accredited laboratory that provides an advanced environmental sampling technology employed throughout the United States, as well as internationally across all seven continents.

Following training, duties include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing samplers to be shipped to clients in sample collection kits,
• Receiving, documenting, verifying and logging sample collection kits,
• Receiving samples and recording project data in an electronic database,
• Tracking, maintaining, and cleaning inventory,
• Supporting chemists with daily tasks that keep the laboratory operating efficiently, and
• Actively participating in team meetings to improve company processes and deliverables.

Requirements:

• Possess a high school or college degree
• Exhibit attention to detail especially with data entry
• Be motivated, flexible in job tasks, and possess a willingness to learn
