Senior Environmental Services Assistant, Third Shift, Environmental Services
UC Health is hiring a full-time Senior Environmental Services Assistant for the Environmental Services for the third shift at Danie Drake Center for Post-Acute Care.
The Senior Environmental Services Assistant will support Daniel Drake's emergency room (ER) and Level III Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures.

Under close supervision, takes charge and gives directions to other Environmental Services associates while performing the same duties as other associates in the group. Regularly performs all tasks of department associates including check-outs, stripping & waxing floors, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning & moving beds, moving furniture and completing set-ups. Performs typical duties of a leader, such as transmitting work instructions from supervisor to other associates, assigns work duties to associates, trains new employees, and manages the unit in the absence of the supervisor.

• Regularly performs all tasks of department associates, i.e....area cleaning, stripping & waxing floors, cleaning restrooms, moving furniture, and completing set-ups.
• Maintains supplies and janitor closets.
• Check daily attendance, making adjustments to schedule as needed.
• May assist in planning and implementing new procedures.
• Motivates associates to meet performance standards - helps associates or manager solve work problems.
May inspect machines, equipment, incoming material and completed work.

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend written materials.
• Preferred: 1 - 2 Years equivalent experience.
• The employee must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of chemicals, cleaning products and their interaction is preferred.
