Job Description
Applicants must demonstrate a record of success within a diverse, customer focused, and dynamic Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) role in an aerospace, or similar, manufacturing company. The successful candidate will have at least 15 years of ESH technical and program experience in that setting. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for success in a team environment. Direct responsibilities include:
• Manage the major ESH programs which affect the business location; including, but not limited, to Corporate Initiatives and Command Media, ESH Management Systems (ISO 14001, 45001), and Federal, State, and Local ESH compliance programs which affect the site such as OSHA, EPA, DOT, TSCA, and BATF.
• Audit the site's ESH aspects to ensure conformity to the relevant standards; document audit findings; and implement finding corrective actions.
• Liaison for external agency and professional audits.
• Implement a common approach to Company procedures, training, and common electronic data management systems.
• Support the site's Operational and Engineering initiatives by integrating ESH into those business processes.
• Write procedures and standard work as it pertains to ESH processes.
• Project Management for ESH aspects either as stand-alone projects or as components to other projects. This is to include planning, resource management, schedule, and reports.
• Manage ESH within a Union environment.
• Manage all phases of the site's training profiles.
• Manage the sites contractor safety program
• Support injury reduction process by assisting with Injury, Illness, and Close Call investigations, data analysis, and corrective action development
• Work with line management to develop and implement the corrective action process.
• Communicate emerging issues with site management and cooperatively develop solutions to address those issues.
Basic Qualifications
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of the organization
• Strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects of different complexity levels
• Strong data driven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of union collective bargaining agreements.
• Ability to make difficult decisions, solve complex issues and influence ESH cultural improvement.
• Ability to respond to internal and external issues to maintain regulatory compliance and enhance the employee experience.
• Root cause determinations
• Develop new and innovative methods to increase employee awareness and engagement in compliance programs/initiatives and drive down risks.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and matrix organization.
• Informal and non-traditional team leadership.
• Functional understanding of the needs of other business departments such as: Operations, Engineering, Quality, Human Resources, Ethics, Security, and Legal.
U.S Citizenship Required.
Desired skills
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma green or black belt or other continuous improvement tools and techniques, including thorough root cause analysis and mistake-proofing processes.
• Knowledge of ergonomics and human performance concepts
• Familiarity with International product conformity regulations
• Familiarity with FAA BMPs
• Aviation operations experience
• Facility closures

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $107,400 - $205,900. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $123,500 - $232,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
