Job Description
- Responsible for the facility’s safety and behavioral safety program and ensuring a safe working environment for team members
- Provide new team members with safety orientations, regularly conduct safety meetings, and perform regular inspections
- Maintain records, investigate, and report accidents/incidents under legal and company guidelines
- Assist with ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations and updating facility policies and procedures
- Prepare information and research materials for environmental presentations
- Participate in environmental compliance audits
- Maintain files and records while ensuring the confidentiality of all personnel information and data
- Assist HR Manager with benefits coverage and documentation for the Leave Programs such as bereavement leaves, FMLA, LOA, etc.
- Participate in recruitment and interviews as well as set up orientation
- Communicate with temporary employment agencies
- B.S Degree in HR Management, Environmental, or Health and Safety
- Previous experience in manufacturing is preferred but not required
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Basic mathematic skills (high-school level required)
- Computer skills required (Work, Excel, Outlook, SAP)
- Organization and planning skills
- Highly motivated, self-driven, and the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Able to constantly lift, bend, walk, kneel, climb, and stand throughout the entire shift
