Purpose of Role:
The SHE Specialist is responsible for both environmental, safety and health programs as well as assistance with manufacturing design of products, processes, methods, and tooling for the Tucson operations. They will be supporting the development, implementation, maintenance and administration of environmental, safety and health programs while also leading and deploying the best practices in the manufacturing organization. They will be responsible for taking initiative to support continuous improvement in various manufacturing processes by reducing the tooling costs and improving the flow of material and setting up cycle times.

Key Responsibilities:
- Focus Area: Advise employees and management on minimizing workplace risks by interpreting state and federal regulations, including ISO 14001 environmental standards.
- Focus Area: Establish, implement, and revise policies and procedures for Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) requirements, including continuous safety training and updates for all employees.
- Focus Area: Plan and conduct EHS audit schedules, ensuring corrective actions and preparing audit result reports, including mediation requirements.
- Focus Area: Serve as the Return to Work Coordinator for work-related injuries, managing employee transport, collaborating with medical professionals, and overseeing required safety reports for lean initiatives and environmental, safety, and health statistics.

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelors degree, or Equivalent Work Experience (5+ Years)
- 3-5 years of relevant SHE or LEAN experience in a manufacturing environment
- Completion of a Background Check and medical assessment satisfactory to the company may be required
- All newly hired employees must be eligible to work in US for any employer
Physical Demands:
- Sit, talk, hear, and/or use hands to handle and touch objects
- Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
