Job Purpose:
The company is seeking an individual to oversee all aspects of field services using a dedicated staff of technicians. This includes assigning resources, scheduling, along with developing staff. This role will assist the project managers in enhancing service delivery to our clients.
Essential Duties:
Coaching, mentoring, and training of field staff.
Scheduling all field activities
Preparing and reviewing technical fieldwork scopes
Understanding and implementation of field QA/QC procedures
Review and revise boring logs
Experience with digital data collection
Mechanical aptitude
Guide field sampling activities
Oversee subcontractor activities
Soliciting proposals and scheduling with subcontractors
Operate and maintain soil and groundwater remediation systems
Maintain and troubleshoot field instrumentation (PID, etc.)
Review field notes documenting media sampling, remedial activities and other data collection
Communicating sampling activities with clients and property owners
Maintain equipment inventories
Fleet maintenance and allocation
Perform environmental media sampling, as needed
Desirable but Not Required:
Construction background
Performing air quality evaluations to include dust, lead, and other constituents ? Phase I ESAs
AutoCAD skills
Experience and Skill Requirements:
5 to 7 years’ experience in environmental related field
Education/ Certification Requirements:
40 hour OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training is required.
Desired Education: 2 or 4-year science degree in an Environmental Science Field preferred
Pennsylvania Asbestos Building Inspector Certification preferred
Competencies:
Microsoft Office proficiency, including Excel data management, sorting and graphical presentation
Communication skills
Knowledge of geological classification systems and field data gathering techniques
Problem solving skills, mechanical repair and maintenance skills
Ability to exercise independent judgement
Ability to interact with clients, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors in a professional manner
Work Conditions:
Must be able to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
Some travel and overnight stays may be required.
Anticipated: 50% office
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
